Success!

Well...mostly success. I've completed my first piece since diving back into sewing. It's a knit top, Kwik Sew 3467. The only unsuccessful part of it was my fabric choice- way too heavy and overall just crap quality. Rookie mistake I guess. (I blame limited selection as well.) I do love the pattern though and am anxious to make it in a nice light weight knit. Anywho- yay productivity! Now I'm encouraged- on to the next project.. :)

Good for you! You're correct in that the big fabric stores (JoAnn's and Hancocks) do have a lot of poor quality fabrics. I do find some things I like occasionally.

There are a few really good online fabric sites that have terrific selection. Pricier of course because they are better quality.

Congratulations on your first finished project! It looks great---you're brave to start out with a knit. I've been sewing for years, and knits still drive me crazy. (Saw your review on PR...)

I think this turned out just awesome!! I love the style and I think yours looks much better than the pattern photo. Great job!
